Fiesta Mart acquired three more stores Tuesday, this time in the Houston market.

A spokesperson for the retailer declined to reveal the sellers of the three locations — two in Houston and one in Rosenberg, Texas. However, tax records show the property at 5101 Avenue H #55 in Rosenberg belonged to Kroger Co., while the property at 2877 S. Richey in Houston was owned by Bravo Ranch/Super Bravo Inc. SN could not confirm an owner for the other Houston site, located at 11035 East Freeway.

“Fiesta is continually looking for opportunities to serve new areas,” CEO Michael Byars said in a press release. “We believe that these new acquisitions are a fantastic fit for the Fiesta brand, and we look forward to unveiling the new Fiesta experience in these stores in early 2017.”

In July, Houston-based Fiesta purchased 11 Minyard Food Stores in the Dallas area. The retailer also announced Tuesday it would hold grand reopenings for two of the former Minyard stores and a remodeled store.

Fiesta plans to transition the three latest acquisitions to the Fiesta banner and hold reopenings in the coming months.

Including the newly acquired stores, Fiesta will operate 73 stores in the Houston, Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth markets.
