H-E-B is planning to open three more locations in North Texas, and the grocer has finalized an opening date for a new store in Allen, Texas, reports local news outlet WFAA. The 117,000-square-foot store in Allen will have a pharmacy, primary care clinic, and H-E-B's True Texas BBQ restaurant.

The South Texas-based grocer will open the Allen store on Oct. 4, including curbside pickup order scheduling opening at 1 a.m. on Oct. 2. While this store is the latest H-E-B to open in North Texas, there are three more planned sites in Melissa, Prosper, and Rockwall, and all are expected to open in 2025, the company announced.

The grocer said it plans to release more information about the new store locations in early 2024 as it continues to expand its presence into North Texas. In the last couple of years, there have been openings in Frisco, Plano, and McKinney (and soon-to-be Allen).

There are also plans for new stores in Mansfield and North Fort Worth. As of now Kroger, Tom Thumb, and Walmart still dominate the grocery market in North Texas when it comes to store count, however, H-E-B just started expanding into Dallas-Fort Worth’s most populous counties.
