Hy-Vee joining the Consortium to Reinvent the Retail Bag to help reduce plastic waste was the week's top story in our recap of the Top 10 most popular Supermarket News articles. Among other stories in this week's gallery:

Two research studies also made it on our list this week. According to digital insights firm Incisiv, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Publix, Brookshire Grocery, Target and Costco Wholesale are among the nation’s most “digitally mature” grocery retailers. Meanwhile, SN's Center Store Trends Survey found that store sales are up by more than 10% for most grocery retailers in 2020, according a survey sent out to food retailers and wholesalers throughout the month of August.

  • Ahold Delhaize USA will begin reporting healthy food sales;

  • Shipt aims to add 100,000 personal shoppers;

  • Kroger brings ClusterTruck ‘ghost kitchens’ on-premise for meal delivery.
