Supervalu Settles Employment Suit
MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu here has settled a lawsuit against Leon G. Bergmann in which the company had alleged that Bergmann violated a non-compete agreement by accepting a position at Unified Grocers, Los Angeles.

MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu here has settled a lawsuit against in which the company had alleged that Bergmann violated a non-compete agreement by accepting a position at Unified Grocers, Los Angeles.
Terms of the settlement were sealed, according to court documents.
As previously reported, Bergmann, who left Supervalu in October, was hired by Unified as senior vice president of sales. He had been president of independent business at Supervalu.

Supervalu sued in early December, saying Bergmann had a 12-month non-compete agreement, and sought a temporary restraining order to prevent him from working for Unified. Supervalu had also accused Unified of intentionally interfering with Bergmann’s employment agreements.
