Walmart involved in dog food recall

Loose metal pieces could be found in the product

Mars Petcare US, which manufactures Pedigree dog food, has voluntarily recalled bags of Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food in the 44-pound bag. 

The recall involves 315 bags sold at Walmart stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. There is a potential presence of loose metal pieces in the food. 

The affected products have a Best By Date of March 4, 2025, and Lot Code 410B2TXT02.

There have been no reports of injury or illness linked to the recalled product.

Consumers should call Mars Petcare US with any questions or to initiate a return. 

As of May 13 Walmart operates 4,616 stores in the U.S. according to ScrapeHero.
