Food Lion on Wednesday will open its newest location in South Boston, Virginia, the grocery retailer announced on Tuesday.

The new store will be located at 3346 Halifax Rd. The Ahold Delhaize banner has served the South Boston community for more than 30 years with stores in the area, according to the grocer’s website.

“I am very excited to continue serving our South Boston community by bringing an even better, easy and affordable shopping experience to our customers,” said Christy East, store manager of the new South Boston Food Lion, in a statement. “My team and I are looking forward to serving our neighbors and deepening roots in the community even more at our brand-new location.”

With groceries in all departments as well as fresh sushi, in-store cut fruit and grab-and-go options, the supermarket will also include a self-service hot wing and Asian food bar. The store also features a walk-in produce cooler. Looking to provide sustainable solutions, the new store features energy-efficient overhead LED lighting.

The store will also sell items from Nature’s Promise, Food Lion’s “affordable brand of wholesome and organic products,” which last month launched a food pharmacy pilot program to combat food insecurity.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, following a 7:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the first 100 customers given the chance to claim a mystery gift card valued up to $200 and a free reusable shopping bag. The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The new location will offer self-checkout lanes and the Food Lion To Go grocery pick-up service. Shoppers can order online through the Food Lion To Go website or the Food Lion To Go app.

Food Lion is Ahold Delhaize’s Salisbury, North Carolina-based banner, which continues to be the company’s strongest U.S. performer, boasting 40 consecutive quarters of positive sales growth, the Dutch retailer reported.
