Grocery Outlet, which touts big discounts on brand-name products, is continuing to increase its grocery retail market share with a new store opening slated for next Thursday in the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area.

The Emeryville, California-based Grocery Outlet’s newest location will be at 16920 SW 72nd Avenue in Tigard across from the upscale shopping center of Bridgeport Village.

Grocery Outlet continues to deepen its market penetration in the grocery store space with new store openings nationwide.

This Saturday, the retailer will host a grand opening of its store in Pennsylvania’s northwestern Lancaster County on Route 72 in Manheim. The opening of the new store expands the California-based retailer’s presence on the East Coast.

This week in its home state, Grocery Outlet’s newest store in the Coachella Valley opened.

Independent operators Keenam and Jennifer Carrillo said in a statement on Thursday that “we are so thrilled to be a part of the Palm Desert community and provide some relief with big savings on quality groceries.”

The new store in California’s Coachella Valley off Highway 111 in Palm Desert brings 30 new jobs to the area.

Founded in 1946, the extreme-value grocery retailer now operates over 450 locations throughout California, Idaho, Maryland, New Jersey, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington.
