Lidl US will open its newest store in Morristown, New Jersey, on Wednesday, according to the grocery chain’s website.

The 29,110-square-foot store is in the Morris Marketplace at 191 E. Hanover Avenue.

Lidl US said it invested millions of dollars in the store, which will create more than 36 new jobs, with starting pay of $17 an hour and comprehensive benefits for all employees, including healthcare.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 7:40 a.m., followed by an opportunity for shoppers to enjoy samples, giveaways and more. In addition, the first 100 shoppers in line will get Lidl gift cards ranging from $5 to $100.

“Grand openings are a big deal, so we’re giving you big deals on our favorite items. Come for the fun, stay for the savings,” the company announced on its website.

Prior to the grand opening, Lidl US will host an open house event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday for community members to tour the store and sample products. The new store will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Earlier this month, Lidl US named Joel Rampoldt as its new CEO. This will be the fifth time since Lidl debuted in the U.S. in 2017 that it has named a new leader.

Owned by the Schwarz Group, Lidl US operates more than 170 stores across nine East Coast states and Washington, D.C.
