Tewksbury, Massachusetts-based Market Basket on Friday will open a new store in North Conway, New Hampshire. Located near the White Mountains Region at 80 Barnes Road, the store marks Market Basket’s 94th location, according to the grocery retailer’s website.

Market Basket, known for high-volume stores, service and low prices, posted an announcement on Facebook on Sunday with the news that “the wait is finally over—our North Conway store will be opening this Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 a.m.!”

The opening expands the over 100-year-old Demoulas Super Markets footprint along the East Coast. Last year, it opened its third and largest Concord, New Hampshire, store—which prompted thousands of social media likes from loyal fans of the retailer.

On its website, Market Basket lists A. Heggarty as its store manager for the new North Conway store, bringing 44 years of serving customers to the position.

Regional grocer Market Basket is winning in its markets, according to a report released last month from Placer.ai.

The foot-traffic analytics firm's 5 Key Regional Grocery Players Impressing in 2023 report noted  Market Basket as “The Pride of New England” as it remains “hugely popular in the region.”

“Market Basket pulled ahead of the wider grocery industry in January 2022. Since then, visits to the chain have consistently exceeded the wider grocery sector,” Placer. Ai noted.

Wedded to tradition, Market Basket, which is a full-service supermarket with no self-checkout, prides itself on “just people taking care of people.”  Market Basket operates stores in New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
