Store openings signify retailer's expansion goals for the state. Retailer opens three stores in one day, signifying its expansion goals for the state.
Meijer has added home delivery to the three northeastern Ohio stores that it opened all on the same day last week as the retailer continues its efforts to conquer the Buckeye State.
The new 155,000-square-foot supercenters include pharmacies, and the Avon site also features a Meijer Express gas station.
Delivery is now available to more than 90,000 new households in the vicinity of the new Avon, Mentor and Stow stores while Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer continues to prep several other new store openings with more than 10 planned in the state. Other features of the new stores include curbside pickup and Shop & Scan.
Home delivery is available through Shipt, and customers can order via Meijer’s website or an app. To incentivize local shoppers to join, Meijer is offering the normally $99 annual membership fee for $49 through June 4 and highlighted that the service will count toward its mPerks loyalty program.
Tom Wilson, regional VP for Meijer, said with shoppers’ busy lifestyles in mind, “we do everything we can to make shopping as easy and convenient as possible.”
"Meijer Home Delivery lets people shop whenever they want from wherever they want, and have their order delivered at a time that's most convenient for them, whether it's early in the morning or late at night,” he said.
