New Seasons Market and New Leaf Community Markets, independent operators within the Good Food Holdings family of brands, has named seasoned grocery executive Nancy Lebold as CEO. Lebold joins New Seasons Market and New Leaf Community Markets from Food4Less, where she most recently was VP of merchandising in California.

Prior to Food4Less, Lebold built a 25-year career at WinCo Foods, where she held several leadership roles throughout the Pacific Northwest, including SVP of retail operations, VP of procurement in Idaho, and VP of general merchandise in Oregon.

Earlier this year, Good Food Holdings CEO Neil Stern told WGB of the company’s “aggressive plans for growth,” with new stores planned for all five Good Food Holdings’ banners (Bristol Farms, Metropolitan Markets, Lazy Acres, New Seasons Market and New Leaf Community Markets).

In March, the companies shared that the next chapter of growth for New Seasons and New Leaf would also include leadership changes, with Forrest Hoffmaster transitioning from his leadership position as CEO for both brands in late March. A “comprehensive executive search” led the companies to Lebold.

“As we emerge from the challenges of the past year, I look forward to bringing a people-centric leadership approach to New Seasons Market and New Leaf Community Markets as we reconnect communities around good food,” said Lebold, a native Oregonian, in a statement. “In close partnership with the current senior leadership teams, I’m committed to creating reinvigorated experiences at both banners that offer staff, customers and the communities we serve more reasons to fall in love with us all over again.”

Regional VP Forrest Gonsiewski will continue in a senior leadership position overseeing strategic business initiatives for New Leaf Community Markets and the New Seasons Market Evergreen store in Northern California.

Founded in 2000 by three families and 50 friends in Portland, New Seasons Market and New Leaf Community Markets is now a team of nearly 3,500 staff across 19 stores in Oregon, Washington and Northern California.
