Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage is helping shoppers with summer hydration via its latest store-brand offering.

Just in time for hotter temperatures, the better-for-you grocery chain on Monday announced the addition of sparkling spring water to its already growing house-brand roster.  Natural Grocers Brand Sparkling Water comes in 16-oz. and 25.3-oz. non-BPA-lined, recyclable aluminum bottles.

"The new Sparkling Spring Water is from the same trusted supplier that has provided our bottled spring water since 2020. Bottled at the source in Idaho's pristine Rocky Mountain wilderness, sustainability is the core principle of our producing partner's operations," Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing at Natural Grocers, said in a statement. "Only5% of the spring's daily output is collected, and the on-location, gravity-fed bottling system means a low energy footprint—no electric pumps and no transport to a plant.”

Launched in 2016, the Natural Grocers-brand lineup encompasses more than 800 products, available exclusively at the chain's stores.

In April, the family-operated grocer debuted three new varieties of mustard to the house brand, including recipes brought over from Europe by a family that had a passion for the craft of mustard-making.

Other recent additions to the Natural Grocers brand include four new scented varieties of epsom salt bath and foot soaks.

The natural and organic grocer said shoppers can expect more new store-brand items to hit shelves this summer, including Natural Grocers Regeneratively Grown Organic Pasture-Raised Eggs and Natural Grocers Regeneratively Grown Organic Free-Range Eggs.

Overall, organic and natural specialty retailer Natural Grocers operates 166 stores in 21 states.
