Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Inc. boosted its store count on Wednesday with the opening of its fifth location in Washington.
The Colorado-based grocery retailer’s newest store is along the southwest bank of the Columbia River in Kennewick at 751 N. Columbia Center Boulevard.
Natural Grocers has been serving communities in Washington since 2014, when the grocery retailer came to Vancouver.
“We previously had four stores in Washington: two in Spokane and two in Vancouver. Kennewick is the perfect place to bridge the gap in south-central Washington—something many locals have been asking us to do for years," said Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing for Natural Grocers, in a statement.
The organic and natural grocery retailer also unveiled this week that it will hold a remodel celebration on Nov. 2 for its Norman, Oklahoma, store at 1918 W. Main Street.
The Norman store, which opened in the summer of 2011, is one of six Natural Grocers stores in Oklahoma.
"We're excited to give our customers an updated atmosphere at the same convenient location of Main Street and Thompson Drive," said Isely. “The updates we've made will help us continue to empower, educate and engage with our customers.”
Last week, Natural Grocers opened its newest store in Twin Falls, Idaho, at 1933 Fillmore St., bringing the retailer’s store count to five in the state and following years of community requests, Natural Grocers is readying to open a new store in Incline Village, Nevada, this winter.
