Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage Inc. will open its newest store in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Oct. 18, bringing the state’s store count to six.

Located at 1933 Fillmore St., the Colorado-based grocery retailer's newest store in southern Idaho will host a grand opening event, which includes, giveaways, prizes and samples.

"Natural Grocers is thrilled to be opening a new location in Twin Falls," said Raquel Isely, vice president of Natural Grocers, in a statement. "We've been serving the people of Idaho since 2012, when we opened our first store in Boise.”

Other new store openings slated for this fall also includes a location in Colorado. “Find our Loveland, Colorado, store just off East 8th street and North Lincoln Avenue for fresh, natural groceries you’ll love,” the grocery retailer has posted on its website.

The organic and natural grocery retailer also unveiled this week its third short film within its Meet Your Farmer series. The film, Tree to Table, focuses on the sustainability, quality and community behind its Natural Grocers Brand Organic Maple Syrup.

“In this film, you'll see the wild, functional forests of New England and the family farmers who tend to them,” Isely said. “The film Tree to Table is the perfect addition to our Meet Your Farmer film series, in that it shows the heart of the folks behind our products, while showcasing ecologically thoughtful practices for future generations to come."

In addition to cultivating learning through films, Natural Grocers will host a free event on Oct. 19 entitled “The Art of Taking It Easy,” at the company’s headquarters in Lakewood, Colorado. The free event will feature psychologist Dr. Brian King.

Natural Grocers started carrying Dr. King's book, The Art of Taking it Easy, in its stores last year.

“Once we found out that Dr. King is not only an expert psychologist and an award-winning author, but a stand-up comedian and sought-after keynote speaker, we invited him to be our premier guest speaker for 2023," said Isely.

Natural Grocers, which was founded in 1955, sells natural and organic groceries, body care products and dietary supplements at over 160 stores in 21 states.
