Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage Inc. will open its fifth Idaho store next Wednesday, the Lakewood, Colorado-based organic-and-natural retailer announced on Wednesday.

The 16,350-square-foot store will be located at 209 N. 3rd St. in McCall and doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Natural Grocers is looking to fill cashier positions and a nutritional health coach for the McCall store, the company said.

"We're thrilled to be extending our reach to such a special part of a state that we already know and love. With so many outdoor activities right out your door, we want to be your neighborhood grocery store that helps fuel your adventures without breaking your bank account,” said Raquel Isely, VP of marketing at Natural Grocers, in a statement. “The community of McCall has been extraordinarily friendly and welcoming from the start. Now we're excited to return the favor."

Committed to upholding food-sourcing standards, the grocery store will sell certified organic produce, organic and natural groceries, free-range eggs and pasture-based dairy. Non-GMO prepackaged bulk goods, dietary supplements, body care and household essentials will also be available at the new store.

Prior to the grand opening, Natural Grocers will present a $2,500 donation to Heartland Hunger & Resources Center as part of the grocery retailer’s community outreach.

Natural Grocers will celebrate the store's grand opening with a variety of discounts, gift card giveaways and prize sweepstakes.

Growth continues in Natural Grocers' home state as well, as the grocery retailer opened its 44th Colorado location earlier this month.

"We've been looking for the perfect spot to open a store in the Central Park area of Denver for over 10 years,” Isely said in a statement.

Located in the Central Park area of Denver, the store is the organic grocer’s second new store featuring a CO2 refrigerant system designed to save energy and provide enhanced environmental protection compared to conventional refrigeration technologies.

Founded in 1955, Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Inc. operates 165 stores in 21 states.
