Perryville, Mo., will welcome a new Save A Lot grocery store to its community. On July 15, there will be a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting at the new store’s location, 609 N. Kingshighway.

The new Perryville Save A Lot will be operated by local store operators Kenneth Wakefield and Brad Juliette, reports indicate.

Brad Juliette told Southeast Missourian, “we are thrilled to add Perryville to our six other Save A Lot stores in Missouri. We are eager to become the go-to grocer for the Perryville community with a unique shopping experience that delivers high quality groceries at affordable prices.”

Save A Lot was founded in 1977, and operates approximately 900 stores in 32 states. Earlier this year in February, the company named Leon Bergmann as Chief Executive Officer; and then in April this year appointed Trey Johnson as its new Chief Merchandising Officer.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead a tremendous brand like Save A Lot, and to work closely with the amazing team of Retail Partners that are so dedicated to delivering quality and value to its customers,” said Bergmann in a company statement at the time of his appointment.

“The Save A Lot model is well positioned to capitalize in industry trends and meet the needs of consumers. I look forward to working with my colleagues at all levels to build on our legacy as the industry’s leading hometown grocer,” Bergmann said.
