Raley’s Promotes Laura Croff to VP of People

New corporate leader to oversee company’s HR strategy. The newly named corporate leader will oversee the company’s HR strategy.

Raley’s Family of Fine Stores has promoted Laura Croff to VP of people. She will lead the company’s human resources strategy, including labor and team member relations, compensation, benefits and talent acquisition.

Bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in human resources, Croff most recently served as senior director of human resources for Raley’s, where she led the West Sacramento, Calif.-based retailer’s HR business partners and team member relations group.

“We are fortunate to have Laura, a proven leader in building high-performing teams and helping people achieve their potential,” Keith Knopf, Raley’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “I am confident Laura will continue to advance Raley’s as a purpose-driven organization.”

Croff first joined Raley’s corporate team in 2005, where she served as the corporate human resources manager and sequentially the senior partner of labor relations manager until 2011. She returned to the organization in 2016. Prior to Raley’s, Croff was the director of human resources and labor relations for Farmers’ Rice Cooperative in Sacramento, Calif.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in family and consumer sciences from California State University, Croff is certified to deliver 360-degree feedback and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Labor Relations and Negotiations program. She has also earned multiple professional certifications, including Senior Professional in Human Resources; Professional in Human Resources, California; and Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional.
