Rosie, an e-commerce solution for independent grocers and wholesalers, is offering free grocery delivery through September with a partnership with DoorDash. Consumers can enter a promo code for the free delivery within the independent grocers’ designated delivery locations.

“Grocery delivery continues to be a valuable option for online shoppers in this new normal,” said David Makar, chief customer officer of Rosie. “This offer is a great way to appreciate our retailers for their continued dedication to growing their e-commerce business, as well as their loyal customers who have shopped local during these challenging times.”

It also is a way to help keep consumers safe and healthy, said Haley Sammis, head of account management for Rosie. “We are proud to work with delivery platforms like DoorDash who really care about keeping their communities safe and providing a solution that benefits retailers and their shoppers.”

Online ordering and grocery delivery have skyrocketed during the pandemic. Rosie, which was established in 2013, saw a 900% increase in signup in the last quarter, noted Rosie founder and CEO Nick Nickitas in a call with WGB earlier this month, with both new retailers signing on along with others expanding the delivery option to all locations.
