Sarah Steven Joins Big Y as Senior Director of Marketing

Succeeds John Schnepp who has retired. Former Godiva executive will oversee marketing and help launch e-commerce.

Big Y has named Sarah Steven senior director of marketing. She succeeds John Schnepp, who has retired. Steven will report to Guy McFarlane, SVP of sales and marketing.

Big Y said Steven will oversee marketing across all of Big Y’s banners, including Big Y World Class Markets, Big Y Express Gas and Convenience, Fresh Acres specialty market and Table & Vine wines and spirits, and will develop the brand’s digital initiatives, including plans to support the launch of e-commerce.

“I am excited to dig in with the talented team at Big Y, to bring new concepts and ideas to the table, and to enrich the beloved Big Y brand with initiatives that will ensure its position as a leader in the competitive supermarket industry,” Steven said.

She began her career in 1998 at Pepperidge Farm before moving on to Godiva Chocolatier and Iredale Mineral Cosmetics.
