With a focus on quick and easy snacks and meal solutions, The Save Mart Companies has expanded its proprietary label Our Brands portfolio with the introduction of Crav’n branded products in all of its Save Mart, Lucky California and FoodMaxx stores located throughout California and Northern Nevada.
“Just in time for the holidays, the introduction of Crav’n products in all our Save Mart, Lucky California and FoodMaxx stores will provide quick-and-easy snacks and meal solutions for busy families, people on the go, and those planning festive gatherings,” said Rebecca Calvin, chief merchandising officer, The Save Mart Companies, in a release.
The Crav’n line includes chips, snacks, cereals, frozen foods and dessert products designed to offer shoppers affordable solutions. The lineup follows the company’s strategic expansion of its Our Brands portfolio of proprietary products, says the company. Crav’n joins other Save Mart private label brands including Sunny Select, Sunnyside Farms dairy products and premium offerings from Pacific Coast Selections.
“The expansion of Our Brands portfolio allows us to provide alternative quality food options, at affordable prices, that are comparable to national brands. Over the next 18 months, we will continue to unveil a variety of Our Brands choices for customers that will meet their unique needs,” said Calvin. “Our shoppers will be pleased to find everything from a variety of salty snacks to favorite sweet treats under the Crav’n label in all of our stores.”
The grocer is the latest in spate of retailers, including Hy-Vee and H-E-B, to expand its Own Brands offerings.
The California-based Save Mart operates more than 200 stores under the banners of Save Mart, Lucky California and FoodMaxx. In addition to its retail operation, the company also operates Smart Refrigerated Transport and is a partner in Super Store Industries (SSI), which owns and operates a distribution center in Lathrop, Calif., and the Sunnyside Farms dairy processing plant in Turlock.
