The Save Mart Companies announced on Monday that Tamara Pattison has joined the company as senior vice president, chief digital officer. This newly created position “will further enhance the organization’s opportunities for emerging digital technologies and e-commerce strategies, enabling future growth,” the company said in a statement.
“Ongoing digital transformation to serve our shoppers and fulfill their needs with innovative and affordable solutions continues to be at the forefront of our strategic objectives,” said Shane Sampson, executive chairman of the board of The Save Mart Companies, in a statement. “With over 20 years of extensive industry experience building and leading diverse teams to develop innovative programs, Tamara is an accomplished leader and I am thrilled to have her leading our digital and e-commerce experience.”
Pattison has experience in product management, digital marketing, loyalty and e-commerce experience at technology firms and retail grocery. She was recently the director of A3Ventures—the innovation lab and capital investment arm of AAA Northern California—and was responsible for product development and marketing activation of Home and Family ventures. Prior to that, she held various positions as director of product management at platform for DemandTec; director of products at click fraud protection for Yahoo!; SVP, digital marketing, loyalty and eCommerce for Albertsons Companies; and SVP, chief marketing and information officer for Beverages & More.
When Save Mart announced last week that it now has two-hour grocery delivery available through Amazon at two of its California locations in Lathrop and Ceres, Pattison had this to say: “The Amazon partnership represents The Save Mart Companies’ ongoing digital transformation to serve our shoppers and fulfill their needs with innovative and affordable solutions. We are proud of Save Mart’s reputation of exceptional quality fresh and local produce and meat and seafood, all at low prices the shopper needs more than ever. We are committed to enhancing the personalization of our customers’ shopping experience across all of our stores including Lucky and FoodMaxx.”
The Save Mart Companies operates approximately 200 stores throughout California and Northern Nevada under the banners of Save Mart, Lucky California and FoodMaxx.
