Schnucks Adds 21 Stores to DoorDash Deal

Schnuck Markets Inc., St. Louis, has expanded a partnership with DoorDash to deliver prepared food from 21 additional grocery stores throughout Illinois, Indiana and Missouri.

The retailer joined DoorDash’s growing list of retail partners initially in March 2021 when it began to offer a selection of prepared foods for delivery from five of its St. Louis-area stores. One of the initial stores was phased out of the pilot program because the deli department configuration didn’t work as well with DoorDash’s needs.

“Schnucks’ expanded partnership with DoorDash allows us to reach more customers and gives them greater access to our delicious deli and prepared food options and Schnucks signature items,” said Schnucks Senior Director of Digital Experience Chace MacMullan in a statement.

To submit an order for delivery, customers can use the Schnucks Rewards app and tap the “DoorDash” link. Users can also visit the DoorDash app or website directly to place an order for delivery. Options available for delivery from Schnucks include prepared items like rotisserie chickens, sandwiches, chicken wings, pulled pork, side dishes and side salads.

DoorDash will deliver to addresses within 3.7 miles of participating Schnucks locations, usually within a 30-minute timeframe depending on driver availability and demand. Additional locations and menu items may be introduced in the future, the company said, though there is no immediate timeframe on expansion at this point.

“Through DoorDash and our many other e-commerce options such as Schnucks Delivers, Deli Order Ahead, Party Planning Order Ahead and Custom Cake Order Ahead, Schnucks continues to meet our customers where and when it’s most convenient for them,” MacMullan said.

Schnucks operates 112 grocery stores in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
