Lucky’s Market has tapped Shipt for same-day delivery in six states. The rollout of the partnership began this week for residents in the following metro areas:

  • Colorado: Boulder, Longmont and Denver

  • Florida: Gainesville, Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, Naples, Orlando, Sarasota, South Florida, Space Coast, Tallahassee and Tampa

  • Georgia: Savannah

  • Iowa: Iowa City/Cedar Rapids

  • Missouri: Columbia, Springfield and St. Louis

  • Montana: Billings

In early 2019, Lucky’s Market Delivers program will be expanded to additional locations in the Midwest, including the Boulder, Colo.-based retailer’s new store locations set to open in the first quarter of 2019.

“Lucky’s Market was founded on the idea that healthful foods should be more available to more people,” Ben Friedland, VP of marketing for Lucky’s Market, said in a statement. “Through this partnership, Lucky’s Market Delivers makes shopping for good food more convenient in the communities we serve.”

Friedland said the launch of Lucky’s Market Delivers by Shipt will provide more than 10 million households across the metro area access to its products delivered by Shipt as early as one hour after a delivery is placed.

To kick off the new service, new customers who sign up in the participating metro areas will receive an annual membership for $49 (regularly $99) for a limited time. Customers will be able to apply their Lucky’s Rewards to online orders to continue saving on groceries and building recipe ideas.

In 2016, Lucky's Market and The Kroger Co. tendered a strategic partnership, whereby the latter made "a meaningful investment" in the spe cialty grocery chain to accelerate the former's growth in new and existing markets. Lucky’s Market has revved up its expansion since that time to now include 33 stores in 11 states.
