Southeastern Grocers Debuts Stand-Alone Liquor Store

Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Winn-Dixie, Fresco y Más and Harveys Supermarket, has opened a new liquor-store concept in its hometown of Jacksonville, Fla.

WDs Wine, Beer & Liquor, located at 4472 Hendricks Ave. in the Miramar Center shopping plaza, held its grand opening Sept. 1. The store features a beer cave with more than 500 beer varieties, including 73 Florida beers, according to a news release. More than 1,400 spirits and more than 1,700 wine offerings, including 700 imported labels, are stocked.

Notably, the store also features fresh meat selections, 70 specialty cheeses and a variety of savory and sweet snacks and accompaniments to round out charcuterie boards and picnic baskets. A seating area is available for in-store tastings and group events; delivery from Shipt also is available.
