Stater Bros. Markets, which celebrated more than a dozen store renovations in 2019, has unveiled its newest revamp in Big Bear, Calif. The store’s interior received an extensive remodel with updated and newly added full-service departments.

San Bernardino, Calif.-based Stater Bros. Markets has served the Big Bear community since 1980. Renovations were driven by requests from local residents and visitors seeking to take to the slopes, said Stater Bros.

The Big Bear store features a host of full-service departments, including a full-service deli with Cleo & Leo hand-breaded fried chicken, specialty sandwiches and wraps, taco and burrito combo meals, and a full line of prepared party trays; a newly added full-service hot bakery, boasting a full selection of artisan breads and rolls, fresh pastries and in-house decorators to assist with all special occasion needs; handcrafted sushi made in-house daily; and full-service meat and seafood departments.

Located at 42171 Big Bear Blvd., freshness is clearly a focal point for the store, which also includes an enhanced Garden Fresh Produce Department, with expanded organic selections and a fresh cut fruit station.

Other new features of the Big Bear location include an expanded beer, wine and liquor department; wider aisles to improve the customer shopping experience; and energy-efficient LED lighting and solar panels.

The revamped Stater Bros. store will be led by Rick Jaeger, a 39-year Stater Bros. veteran team member and longtime Big Bear resident.

“We’re a tight-knit community, and I’m sure locals and visitors will be excited with the wall-to-floor renovations we’ve made to enhance their shopping experience,” said Jaeger in a statement.
