Walmart employees are trading in their tired blue and green vests for a modernized version that features trim details, screen printing, an eye-catching look and a unique fabric.

The new vests are steel gray, which Walmart officials say will be easier for employees to color coordinate as dress codes were relaxed last year. The vests are made from Repreve fabric, which comes from recycled plastic bottles.

The vest will be customizable, which will align with the laxer dress code that allows for more self-expression, and employees can purchase customized vests online for $11.

Other notable features of the new look include bigger pockets, the large Walmart symbol on the backs of the vest and writing on the front that advertises “Proud Walmart Associate.”

The vests will start making appearances this year. Supercenter associates will have blue trim while Neighborhood Market associates will get green trim. Self-checkout hosts will wear yellow vests with gray trim to help customers spot them.
