Baruvi Fresh has launched its first line of healthy snacks with hummustir, a USDA certified organic hummus. Hummustir uses only organic, non-GMO ingredients, free of preservatives like potassium sorbate and other harsh chemicals. There is no need to refrigerate until after it's made, so consumers can enjoy hummustir anytime, anywhere.

With hummustir, consumers can see exactly what's going into their snack simply by rolling the ingredients from their packets and stirring their own fresh hummus in a minute's time, say company officials.

"The launch of hummustir is very exciting for the team as it's a culmination of years of research to bring fresh hummus to all. Hummustir is paving the path to a future where there will no longer be a need for unnatural, preserved, refrigerated hummus. It will be mainstream for people to easily make fresh, delicious hummus at home or on the go," says Alon Kruvi, managing director of Baruvi.

Rooted in the philosophy that hummus tastes "yummiest" when freshly made, hummustir is packed with pure organic ingredients including cooked chickpea puree soaked overnight to provide maximum nutrients, toasted tahini and simple spices for a smooth, creamy taste.

"The best part of hummustir is the detail put into sourcing the finest ingredients to provide maximum nutritional value and taste. It's been our dream to create something that will impact people in a positive way and offer consumers a simple to make and delicious snack to eat on the go, at home or work. With the launch of hummustir we are paving this path," adds Kruvi.

Hummustir has only 45 calories per serving. With its innovative packaging, hummustir can be enjoyed at home, work, while camping, at the beach or as a post-workout snack, officials add.

Packed with two-grams of protein per serving, hummustir has three styles: Classic, a simple, smooth hummus; Mediterranean, a hummus with a tangy twist of lime and garlic; and Village, a hummus with a traditional touch of garlic and cumin.

Hummustir is available for purchase in 12-ounce portions and will soon be available at local grocery stores.
