Blount Expands its Legal Sea Foods Branded Soup Offerings

Blount Fine Foods announced a new line of premium seafood soups and chowders now available in a 32-ounce retail cup under the Legal Sea Foods brand. The varieties include Maine Lobster Bisque, New England Clam Chowder and Shrimp & Roasted Corn Chowder, which are three of the brand’s most popular restaurant soups. “We are quite pleased to bring Legal Sea Foods soups in this new line of larger-sized retail cups, which include some of Legal’s most popular and successful restaurant soups,” says Bob Sewall, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Blount. The new line of 32-ounce soups includes the following favorites: New England Clam Chowder: Made with sweet cream, tender clam meat, all-natural clam broth and tender potatoes, it makes a great entrée soup in a bread bowl. Maine Lobster Bisque: A blend of minced lobster meat simmered in cream and sherry. Shrimp & Roasted Corn Chowder : This chowder features shrimp and roasted sweet corn in combination with red peppers, light cream and potato. Presents a Southwest flare when garnished with a sprig of fresh cilantro. “A larger sized SKU is something retailers have been asking for,” says Sewall.  “We have seen these flavors do well in smaller sizes for years.”
