Chile Blueberry Season Begins

It is the beginning of the Gourmet Trading Company's , announced the beginning of its Chile blueberry season today. As the company’s Argentina blueberry season winds down Chilean blueberry season begins allowing the company to provide a year-round supply of blueberries to retail and foodservice operators.  logo in a gray background | “We are looking forward to a strong Chilean blueberry season. We have already started to receive blueberries from Chile and will continue to till the end of April,” said Scott Hulsey, vice president of procurement for Gourmet Trading Company. “With peak Chilean blueberry volume during the holidays there is a great opportunity for retailers to lift sales by promoting blueberries for holiday meals and desserts. We are looking forward to promoting our blueberries throughout the holiday season with social media sites such as twitter and pinterest. We plan to continue to promote Chilean blueberries after New Year’s with our 11-oz. Green Giant Fresh Blueberries for Return to School in January,” said Julia Inestroza, marketing director. Gourmet Trading Company Chilean blueberries are available in the Gourmet Trading Company label in the following packs: 12 x 4.4-oz., 12 x 6-oz., 8 x 18-oz., 12 x 1-pint, 12 x 24-oz. and 12 x 32-oz. The company also offers Chilean blueberries in the Green Giant  Fresh label in a 1-pint pack. Point of Sale materials and recipe cards are available to retailers throughout Chilean blueberry season.
