Dole Introduces Blueberry DOLE GO Berries!

DOLE Strawberries won the United Fresh Innovation Award in the Best New Packaging category.

Dole has introduced a 6-ounce blueberry variety of its snack-size package line, DOLE GO Berries!, set to hit shelves in August at a suggested retail price of $2.99. The company announced the new variety after its Strawberry DOLE GO Berries! had won the United Fresh Innovation Award in the Best New Packaging category for its three 4-ounce packages that are ventilated for freshness and rinsing, and snap apart for “snap-rinse-go” convenience.

DOLE Go Berries! was one of 46 United Fresh Produce Association Innovation Award finalists displayed at the United Fresh Conference, June 14-15, in Chicago, and attendees voted to determine the winners in five categories. In addition to the Best New Packaging category, Dole was a finalist in the Best New Vegetable Product category for its DOLE Chopped Caesar Salad Kit. The win for Go Berries! marks the second consecutive year that Dole has received an award for product innovation at the annual conference.

In addition to the 12-ounce DOLE GO Berries! in Strawberry and 6-ounce DOLE GO Berries! in Blueberry, Dole also offers DOLE Strawberries in 1-pound and 2-pound clamshells; DOLE Blueberries in 6-ounce, pint, 18-ounce and 24-ounce clamshells; and DOLE Raspberries and DOLE Blackberries in 6-ounce and 12-ounce clamshells.
