January 1, 2018
Fitness trainer Tracy Anderson kicked off a partnership between Wonderful Halos mandarins and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Wonderful Halos is donating $100,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America to support healthy lifestyles programming at Clubs around the country. Included in Wonderful Halos’ donation includes fresh citrus fruit to supply Clubs with healthy snack options. “Wonderful Halos is committed to providing parents and children with healthy snacking options,” says Jasmine Hodari, vice president of marketing, Wonderful Halos. “We also want to ensure that kids at Boys & Girls Clubs across the United States have access to healthy food and resources. Supporting Boys & Girls Club’s healthy lifestyle efforts is a great way for us to make an impact on the health of today’s youth.” Anderson, a fitness guru best known for the Tracy Anderson Method and trainer to many of Hollywood’s A-list celebrities, joined volunteers at Boys & Girls Club of Burbank to deliver Halos for a snack time treat and host fitness activities to promote the importance of healthy habits. “As a mom I want only the best for my kids which is why I choose Wonderful Halos as a healthy snacking option to share as a family,” says Anderson. “This partnership is very important to me as I want to encourage my kids and today’s youth to make smart food choices and Halos are an excellent selection.” Boys & Girls Clubs of America serves nearly four million youth annually. More than 4,100 Club locations have helped develop young minds with the skills and abilities to become productive citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of America works to provide a world-class Club experience for all youth and this includes teaching how to live a healthy lifestyle along with demonstrating good character & citizenship and academic success. Wonderful Halos mandarins are in the produce aisles of grocery, mass and club stores now through April (California mandarin season). They are available in 1-, 3- and 5-pound bags and 5-pound boxes.
