Josie’s Organics romaine hearts packaging is tops – at least according to industry leaders gathered at the United Fresh Produce Association's annual convention. More than 40 fresh fruit and vegetable innovations competed for votes from industry leaders. The eye-catching, blue polka dot packaging evokes the wholesome goodness the Braga family puts into their produce, say company officials. “As a third generation farming family, we know a lot about quality, sustainability and hard work,” said Rod Braga, president and farmers at Braga Fresh Family Farms. “Moxxy designed this look to honor my grandmother.  Her commitment to hard work and serving healthy meals inspires us every day to help families put fresh vegetables on the table. We named Josie’s Organics after her.” Moxxy kept Braga’s ‘Nonnie’ Josie in mind with packaging that prominently features the custom-illustrated Josie’s Organics logo, designed to represent today’s busy, health-focused women, and tagline, “deliciously organic produce.” The package also showcases a font reminiscent of a woman’s handwriting. While Josie’s Organics is new, Braga Fresh has fielded strong interest from buyers and distributors throughout North America. Josie’s Organics products already line the shelves of Whole Foods, Kroger and many independent retailers. The quality of the produce, Braga’s reputation for food safety and excellent customer service and the Moxxy-designed award-winning package are driving the success of the line so far.
