Land O’Frost Adds Smaller Packaging to Simply Delicious Lunchmeat Offerings

Land O’Frost has introduced a second, smaller package size for its heart-healthy lunchmeat line, Simply Delicious. Simply Delicious was one of the first pre-sliced, pre-packaged lunchmeat lines in which all products are fully-certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), say company officials, and it is now available nationwide in an 8-ounce portion size to complement the brand’s original 13-ounce package.

Land O’Frost introduced the 8-ounce package to better meet the needs of consumers in smaller households, officials add. 

“As a family owned and operated company, we make it a point to always listen to our customers, which allows us to stay at the forefront of category innovation,” says Keith Hill, director of brand management for Land O’Frost. “In this case, our regular dialogue with health conscious consumers from smaller households led us to the insights that drove this product line expansion.” 

Land O’Frost’s Simply Delicious line is now available nationwide in major retailers and still displays the clear packaging featuring the AHA’s signature Heart-Check that allows customers to quickly see and identify the heart-healthy lunchmeats. The Heart-Check mark, the front-of-package white and red icon of the American Heart Association’s Food Certification Program, has been helping shoppers select healthier foods since 1995.

Simply Delicious products offer 50 calories per 1.8-ounce serving and many other important attributes that help consumers meet their nutrition and health goals, including: no by products, no artificial flavors, extra lean, gluten-free and no hormones added. 

Like the 13-ounce offering, Land O’Frost’s 8-ounce Simply Delicious features six popular flavorful varieties with satisfying whole muscle texture and taste: Hickory Smoked Ham, Honey Smoked Chicken Breast, Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken Breast and Applewood Smoked Turkey Breast, as well as naturally smoked Honey Roasted Turkey Breast, Black Forest Ham and Honey Cured Ham.
