They are the first of their kind in the food packaging industry, say company officials. Simply Secure, LINDAR’s line of tamper obvious containers, are available in two-piece and hinged varieties, with tabs that snap into place to secure the product while in stores. To open the package, the perforated tabs can be simply torn off, making it user friendly, while easily identifiable if the container has been opened. “Our Simply Secure packaging reassures customers the food they’re buying is safe to consume, while maintaining the visual appeal of the product inside the package,” says Dave Fosse, director of marketing for LINDAR. The company pioneered the development of tamper obvious two-piece pie and cake containers, bringing an intuitive design and easy-to-handle package to the Pie containers hold eight-inch diameter pies with varying dome heights to accommodate fruit, cream and meringue pies, while cake containers fit seven inch cakes, and are available in single and double-layer height options. LINDAR also makes tamper obvious four-count mini cupcake packages, large cupcake and muffin packages, and small to-go style containers. Fosse said all of LINDAR’s packaging options are made with crystal clear plastic, are durable, stackable and have a built-in freshness seal to guarantee quality. “Our containers have been purposefully designed to reduce shipping costs, expand shelf space, and protect the product like no other package on the market today,” he says.
