The Uncured No Sugar Hickory Smoked Bacon was developed to keep up with nutritional trends and the dietary needs of consumers. The company’s officials wanted to introduce an option for consumer following a paleo diet. “Our consumers have been asking for bacon for a long time,” says Scott Cooney, vice president of operations for the Hamilton, Texas-based company. “With the increased popularity of eating paleo, folks need a bacon that complies with the paleo diet. “We recognized a gaping hole in the market when it comes to bacon that contains absolutely no sweeteners, natural or artificial, in the ingredients list. With a little ingenuity and a whole lot of experience, our team has created a bacon recipe that omits all sweeteners while maintaining the familiar standards and quality of our long available bacon line,” he adds. Now available, the Uncured No Sugar Hickory Smoked Bacon has a suggested retail price of $6.99 for a 10-ounce package.
