Puratos has added Sapore Softgrain Sprouted Grain CL, its sixth and newest preservative-free offering, to its Sapore Softgrain range, which was launched in 2010. The clean label, non-GMO solution is a presoaked blend of sprouted whole rye, wheat and triticale grains infused with a mild fermentation flavor. Sapore Softgrain Sprouted Grain CL adds a touch of roasted crusty flavor to multigrain soft and crusty breads, buns, crackers, etc.

Whole grains are one of nature’s healthiest ingredients, and are identified by the Oldways Whole Grains Council as responsible for benefiting heart and digestive well-being, say company officials. As the emphasis on well-being increases, consumers are instinctually gravitating towards sprouted grains, which are steadily gaining popularity and contain even more nutrients than your typical wholegrain.

Additionally, as consumers are also making more informed decisions about the quality of the foods they consume, they are looking for the perfect ‘trifecta’ in their options: foods that contain freshness, nutrition and taste, according to the company's Taste Tomorrow 2015 Study.

Available in 38-pound pails, these ready-to-use sprouted grains can be applied to a variety of applications and in different dosages, giving users the flexibility to create the ideal flavor profile, officials add.
