The Ready. Chef. Go! cooking bag, manufactured by Sirane in the United Kingdom, has proven highly successful in increasing seafood profits throughout many chains around the world, company officials say. It was recently introduced in the U.S. by Elkay Plastics, the exclusive U.S. distributor of these unique cooking bags. Ready. Chef. Go! cooking bags are engineered for two distinct types of cooking: there’s a dual-ovenable cooking bag which pairs a combination of parchment paper and clear film for rapid microwave or traditional oven cooking of delicate proteins and produce, while locking in the food’s natural moisture and flavor. There’s also an Oven & Grilling bag that combines aluminum foil and clear film for moist  meals from the oven or barbeque. The entire Ready. Chef. Go! cooking bag line is supported with a complete program that provides a wealth of options including culinary add-ons, in-store merchandising and crew-member training support. Culinary solutions include an exclusive array of sixteen seasoned compound butters and nine sauces designed specifically for the Ready. Chef. Go! program. Retailers can customize their program to meet individual location requirements and consumer taste preferences. Point of sale support includes a variety of counter signs, wall signs, floor clings and more. Elkay Plastics recently brought aboard Kevin Gallahan, a long-time veteran of the grocery and seafood industries, to head up the Ready. Chef. Go! initiative. “Today’s consumers, especially Millennials, demand delicious, convenient, high quality, take-home food and Ready. Chef. Go! represents a stepchange in the way consumers will be preparing delicious, convenient healthy home meals," Gallahan says.
