SSC logo1_20-10-2014-05-29-52-PMSalad Savoy is the latest company to partner with The Produce Mom as a trusted partner. The company grows a variety of unique and colorful leafy vegetables in Salinas, Calif., and Yuma, Arizona. Lori Taylor, voice of The Produce Mom, says she is enthusiastic about Salad Savoy products because they fit with her mission of encouraging families to eat more produce. “These products are nutritionally super-foods,” says Taylor, adding that the bright colors are appealing to kids, inspiring them to give these vegetables a try. “Partnering with The Produce Mom provides Salad Savoy with a new consumer audience” said Marsha Moore, vice president of Salad Savoy. “We are looking forward to participating in several of The Produce Mom’s holiday activities and promotions.” Taylor plans to feature the Salad Savoy Lollipops Kale Sprouts as the Produce Mom “Pick of the Week” just prior to Thanksgiving. “Lollipops are a unique combination of kale and brussels sprouts. “I recommend preparing them in a recipe like the one featured on theproducemom.com, Kale Sprouts with Onion Crisps. This dish is a vibrant and tasty addition to the Thanksgiving table,” says Taylor. As the Produce Mom “Pick of the Week,” additional tips on how to select, store and serve Salad Savoy products will be featured on The Produce Mom blog, in social media and in Produce Mom Picks retailers, including Miller and Sons in Verona and Mt. Horeb, Wis., Bills Food Center in Oregon, Wis., Lake Mills Market in Road Lake Mills, Wis., Burreson’s Foods in Belleville, Wis., as well as dozens of other local Shurfine Food Centers.
