The new products include the Porterhouse steak, a traditional steak house favorite that weighs over two pounds, a T-bone steak, sometimes called the “little brother” of the Porterhouse, with a weight of over one and a half pounds and boneless Top Sirloin steaks available in 6-, 8- and 10-ounce portions. The Double R Ranch Porterhouse and T-bone steaks have a small filet mignon (or tenderloin) on one side and a New York strip steak on the other, and the final steaks are about one and a half inches thick which is more than twice the thickness of standard cut steaks, company officials add. Like all Double R Ranch beef, the new offerings are wet aged 28 days for superior flavor and texture and are 100% premium Northwest beef. “The Porterhouse and T-bone are classic steaks, but we wanted to make ours special by cutting them thick,” says Shane Vaughan, president of Ecommerce for Snake River Farms. “We listen to our customers and, along with Top Sirloin steaks; these are the some of our most requested cuts.” Double R Ranch premium Northwest beef can be purchased online at http://www.snakeriverfarms.com.
