Peach season will start five weeks early for Titan Farms this year thanks to a new partnership agreement with Florida’s largest peach grower. Mulberry, Fla.-based Sizemore Farms is a vertically integrated grower, packer and shipper of premium Florida strawberries and peaches. As the premiere grower, packer and shipper of peaches in the Eastern United States, Titan Farms will begin shipping from Florida on April 4; peaches from Titan Farms’ orchards in South Carolina will ship starting the week of May 16.

A partnership with Sizemore Farms affords Titan Farms an even longer season—South Carolina’s peach season extends into early September, weeks after Georgia’s peach season ends—while also giving them increased acreage in unchartered territory.

“Thanks to our new partnership with Sizemore Farms, we can offer a seamless transition from Florida to South Carolina peaches while maintaining our high-quality standards,” says Chalmers Carr, president of Titan Farms. “Much like our home state, Florida has warm, humid nights and unique soils which create an optimal growing environment for producing premium great tasting peaches.”

Sizemore sees the partnership as an opportunity to capitalize on Titan Farms’ experience in cultivating, harvesting, and packing peaches along with their sales and marketing capabilities, say company officials.

“We are elated to be working with Titan Farms’ respected quality operations,” says John Sizemore, principal at Sizemore Farms. “We’ve been growing peaches for years and are ready to take our Florida-grown peach business to the next level.”

“We look forward to aligning with Titan Farms due to their success and track record in the Southern peach industry,” adds Sizemore. “As a vertically integrated company, we are constantly looking to improve our operations and align with those who share a similar vision to our own.”

Under the partnership, peaches coming out of Sizemore Farms’ operations in Florida will be offered in 8-pound one layer cartons to retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
