Tribe Hummus Finds Inspiration at the Farmer's Market
January 1, 2018
Tribe Hummus is launching a Farmer’s Market line, a collection of hummus flavors inspired by fresh tastes and colors of the farmer’s market. A permanent extension of the brand’s flavor portfolio, the line will initially roll out with three 8-ounce flavors that put a fresh spin on garden favorites: Harvest Carrot & Ginger, Cucumber Tzatziki and Vine Ripened Tomato & Basil.
“Our consumers are big fans of farmer’s markets, which makes this new line of inspired hummus incredibly exciting,” says Adam Carr, CEO of Tribe Mediterranean Foods. “By capturing the fresh tastes and vibrant colors of the farm stand, blending into our beloved hummus and bringing it to local grocery aisles, we’ve really created a unique recipe for success.”
The company's officials describe the flavors:
Harvest Carrot & Ginger is a distinctive blend of carrots and ginger, topped off with a dollop of cilantro, coriander and parsley. The ginger, cilantro and coriander brings a bit of a spice to the flavor palate, with carrots and parsley to balance out the blend. It is best served stirred and pairs well with crisp baby carrots, bell peppers and pita chips.
Cucumber Tzatziki combines its beloved Classic hummus with cucumbers and dill, and is then topped with more dill. The garden-fresh taste and smooth texture makes this hummus incredibly versatile to be served as a dip with most any raw vegetables or warm pita bread and falafel.
Vine Ripened Tomato & Basil is a new and improved version of the brand’s Sundried Tomato and Basil flavor. It features more vine-ripened tomatoes and basil, blended with hummus and topped off with a basil tapenade. The rich tomato flavor pairs well with crusty bread or crostinis.
Similar to Tribe’s entire portfolio of 17 flavors, the Farmer’s Market line is gluten-free, kosher-certified, vegan-friendly and free of artificial flavors, cholesterol, hydrogenated oils and high-fructose corn syrup. The suggested retail price of the eight-ounce bowls is $3.49.
