The line of protein-enriched salad dressings and dips debuted in April 2014 and are available in Whole Foods Markets throughout Florida.

Containing nine to ten grams of protein per serving, the products are low cholesterol, all natural, gluten-free, low sodium and low in saturated fats. The dressings were developed by Scot Elmore, a noted south Florida chef renowned for his nutrient-packed salads. They are available in four unique gourmet flavors: Orange Citrus & Black Chia Seed, Asian Sweet Chili & Tamari, Orange Blossom Honey & Balsamic, and Key Lime Caesar with Asiago.

“The Tru Table dressings and dips cater to active, health-conscious consumers who are looking for a nutritious, flavorful alternative to traditional high-calorie dressings,” says Tru Table CEO Jody Kalmbach. “There is certainly demand for protein-enriched products, and we are excited to offer our premium dressings to consumers throughout Florida, Texas and the northeast.” Tru Table is currently available at 23 Whole Foods Markets in Florida. This month, consumers also can find the products at 85 Wegmans in Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia; 25 Kings Foods Markets in New Jersey; 24 United Super Markets in Texas; eight Central Markets in Texas; and at two Balducci’s in New York. Tru Table products are made from natural ingredients and are enriched with whey protein isolate, the purest and most easily absorbed form of whey protein. All of the Tru Table products are gluten-free and three of the four are vegetarian. “We saw an opportunity in the market and set out to redefine the dressing category,” says Tru Table founder and PGA TOUR player Freddie Jacobson. “We wanted to create a dressing that would add nutritional value and have a great taste. We achieved that with Tru Table dressings and dips.”
