Well, we did and that's why we decided to develop our own line of flavored milks," says Tom Matun, president of True Dairy Flavors. Unlike other drinks popular for their taste, flavored milk provides substantial health benefits including nine essential nutrients: calcium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, vitamins A, D and B12, riboflavin and niacin, officials add. In fact The American Heart Association, American Dietetic Association and School Nutrition Association support the important role of low-fat flavored milk in helping to meet children’s nutritional needs. In addition repeated studies have shown that flavored milk’s powerful nutrient package has numerous benefits for post-exercise and sports recovery, say officials. “Made with fresh milk from local dairies, our variety of flavors offers a great combination of health and taste," Matun adds. “We are excited about offering consumers a uniquely different and nutritious beverage alternative."
