NEW YORK — Food Emporium, a subsidiary of A&P, this month debuted its new “Taste of Nature” line — a collection of gourmet items from Austria, including cheeses, mustards, fruit preserves, chocolates, vinegars and other products.

In an event at the company's 59th Street Bridgemarket location here, Austrian agriculture officials mingled with executives from A&P and members of the press.

Attending were Josef Pröll, Austrian federal minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management; Brigitte Jank, president of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Christian Haub, executive chairman of A&P; Christian Kesberg, Austrian Trade Commissioner for the USA; and Hans Heer, senior vice president and Food Emporium general manager.
