DAYTON, Ohio — In October, Dorothy Lane Market will host its first “DLM Food Lovers Adventure,” a 10-day guided tour of Sicily.

The trip will include visits to wine, chocolate, olive oil and other food producers.

“You will enjoy authentic Sicilian meals made with these artisan ingredients, and you will have time to breathe in the beauty of all that is Sicily,” Dorothy Lane states in promotional materials.

Gioacchino Passalacqua, founder of Italian food importer Attavola Foods, will serve as a guide in one of the tour’s stops. Passalacqua visited Dorothy Lane last week to conduct Italian food tastings and discuss the trip.

The tour will be held Oct. 1-10, and will cost $4,600 per double occupancy. The cost includes food, hotel accommodations and stops at food production facilities. Airfare is additional.
