March Frozen Food Month Means Valuable Consumer Offers

In just a few days, a flurry of activity will greet shoppers in supermarkets across the country. The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) is encouraging customers to “Take a Fresh Look at Frozens” as it kicks off the 29 March Frozen Food Month promotion with a new look, fresh theme and exciting consumer offers. On Sunday, March 4, a 3-page FSI with 37 million circulation will drop in newspapers across the country announcing March Frozen Food Month and offering valuable coupons from the sponsoring brands. The FSI also encourages consumers to enter the $10,000 Sweepstakes hosted on NFRA’s EasyHomeMeals.com website. Fans of NFRA’s Easy Home Meals Facebook page will have a chance to win the Freezer Giveaway. A 7 cubic-foot chest freezer will be awarded each week during March. The giveaway begins March 4 and ends March 31. TV personality and NFRA spokesperson, Mr. Food, will be broadcasting from the frozen food aisle on March 5, telling viewers to watch for special deals throughout March and whipping up one of his signature “quick and easy” recipes. Mr. Food’s syndicated show airs on local news broadcasts in more than 120 markets, with 4 to 6 million viewers tuning in daily. Millions more consumers can view the show and recipe on the mrfood.com website. In addition, regional frozen food associations will be conducting promotions in their own markets, and many retailers with the support of frozen food manufacturers will have sales and special events drawing customers down the aisles.
