The Milk Producers Education Program (MilkPEP) has signed on as an official sponsor of Team USA, sponsoring several athletes who will represent Team USA in Rio de Janeiro. For the first time, the Milk Life campaign will promote organic milk alongside conventionally produced white dairy milk.

As a part of the Milk Life’s United States Olympic Committee sponsorship, Organic Valley has created new packaging for its white milk half-gallons and Good to Go single-serves featuring the Milk Life Team USA logo. Point of sale materials including shelf blades, cooler door and rack stickers, danglers and channel strips, and cooler clings have also been created featuring three-time world champion, and two- time U.S. Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong.

Armstrong spent a day at Organic Valley producer Jon Bansen’s farm in Monmouth, Ore., for a photo and video shoot. Organic Valley will also follow Armstrong’s journey to represent Team USA at the Olympic Games on its social channels. In addition, Organic Valley is donating milk to Team USA athletes who are part of MilkPEP’s sponsorship to support them in their training leading up to the Olympic Games. Organic milk is the choice of Team USA cyclist Kristin Armstrong, one of the most decorated women cyclists in the world. The three-time world champion and two-time U.S. Olympic gold medalist chooses organic milk as a key ingredient in her training and nutrition regimen.

“As an athlete, I want to trust everything that I take in, to fuel my body,” says Armstrong while visiting Bansen’s J&J Jerseys Farm. “So I really believe in organic milk. I believe it fuels my body and provides the right nutrients that I need to get back on my bike each and every day.”
