MountainKing Introduces “Who’s Your Craw Daddy?” Promotion

As grocers prepare for the start of springtime crawfish season, a new promotion from Texas-based MountainKing Potatoes is giving retailers the opportunity to cash in on big selling opportunities of the company’s Crawfish Red Potatoes, one of its most popular varieties specially grown and packaged with crawfish fans in mind.

Now thru May 31, 2016, MountainKing is offering its three-pound bags of Crawfish Reds while encouraging grocers to compete for the best “Who’s Your Craw Daddy?” point-of-sale display.

One grand prize winner will enjoy an all-new HD GoPro camera, which can be mounted to capture everything from snow boarding to surfing.  Three second-place finishers will win $50 gift cards while every entry will receive a MountainKing “Who’s Your Craw Daddy?” t-shirt.

To enter, grocers can submit photos of their display to [email protected].  Deadline for entries is May 31, 2016.

MountainKing’s Crawfish Reds not only keep their shape after they are boiled, thanks to their waxy texture and high moisture content, say company officials, but their “boil-n-bag” packaging allows them to be dropped straight into a pot without removing them from the bag. The boil-n-bag feature also keeps the red potatoes separate from other ingredients.
