The Non-GMO Project, a non-profit organization, has verified a majority of Pompeian products. The Non-GMO Project Verification Seal is an assurance that a product has been produced according to consensus-based best practices for GMO avoidance.

Customers can look for the Non-GMO Project Verified Seal, which indicates that the product bearing it has gone through a rigorous verification process, on the front label of Pompeian's Non-GMO products, including Robust, Smooth, and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Safflower Oil and Grapeseed, Coconut and Avocado Oil Cooking Sprays. Pompeian has already started producing labels to include the Non-GMO Project Verified Seal and will roll out additional new product labels over the course of the year.

"At Pompeian, we are always looking to innovate, while providing products of the highest quality," said David Bensadoun, Chief Executive Officer. "We recognize a trend of consumers becoming more educated about the food they consume and we're very proud to deliver on our commitment to quality by working with third party organizations like the Non-GMO Project."

Pompeian's Non-GMO Project Verification follows suit of numerous third parties that Pompeian engages to ensure the quality of its products. Pompeian carriesĀ the USDA Quality Monitored Seal on its Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Pompeian's quality commitment is extended through its North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA) membership. In addition, Pompeian's Vice President of Quality and Research Development, Dr. Luisito Cercaci, leads daily testing of its products through Pompeian's own lab, the American Oil Chemists' Society (AOCS) accredited Pompeian Sensory Panel.
