A combination of store pick-up and home delivery — rather than either method individually — was deemed the best way to fulfill online grocery orders, according to an SN poll of readers. While home delivery has been the primary method by which shoppers received their online orders, store pick-up has recently been introduced by a growing number of retailers in an effort to free shoppers from the requirement to be home during delivery windows. But by offering shoppers both options, retailers would be able to provide maximum convenience and flexibility.
